Wave Man (ウェーブマン, Wēbuman^?) is an amphibious combat Robot Master created by Dr. Wily to take over the water quality administration in Mega Man 5. He is very sentimental, being able to cry or be in a rage easily, is anti-social and likes to be alone. He isn't good at close-range combat, preferring to attack from distance. His main weapon, Water Wave, can make a water pillar appear from the ground in the enemy's current location, and he can launch harpoons from his left arm. Unlike Bubble Man, Wave Man's mobility is good on both land and water.

Wave Man appeared in the episode "20,000 Leaks Under the Sea" from the Mega Man animated series.

The Mega Man 5 bosses have short appearances fighting against Mega Man or helping Wily in the three episodes from the OVA Mega Man: Upon a Star.

In the manga Rockman Megamix, Wave Man appeared in the story "Holiday of Soldiers", where the eight Robot Masters from Mega Man 5 have a part-time job in a amusement park to obtain money for Wily. He works as the cleaner of the toilets and calls himself "Wave Blue" in the job to avoid being recognized as one of Wily's robots.

Wave Man also appeared in the Rockman 5 manga.

• Wave Man's stage in the Game Gear Mega Man has Gravity Man's music instead, while Wave Man's music is played in the game over screen.
• In Mega Man 3 for the DOS there is another Robot Master called Wave Man.
