Tri-Thunder is a Special Weapon obtainable in Mega Man Xtreme 2 by defeating Volt Catfish and in Mega Man X5 by defeating Squid Adler. In Xtreme 2, when used by X it shoots electric arcs in three directions, and when charged it surrounds him with electricity which is shot in random directions. When used by Zero, he punches the ground, damaging all grounded enemies and generating two electric arcs which sweep across the screen. In X5, it shoots three electric arcs, up, forward, and down, and when they touch the wall they crawl along it as ball lightning. When charged, it generates a storm of random lightning bolts across the screen. The Mega Man X5's version required two Tri-Thunder.
