Thunder, known as Thunder Ball (サンダーボール) in Japan and in the Mega Man Star Force series, is a series of Elec Battle Chips and Battle Cards from the Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Star Force series that are mainly obtained by defeating viruses from the Billy and Zap Ace family. The user releases a slow-moving electric ball that causes damage on contact. In the first Mega Man Battle Network the ball moves straight ahead. From Mega Man Battle Network 4 onward it moves in the direction of the closest enemy and can paralyze the target.

Dark Thunder[]

Dark Thunder (ダークサンダー) is a Dark Chip version of Thunder that appeared in Mega Man Battle Network 5. It creates a large purple thunder ball that slowly weaves its way around the field to the target. Stuns on contact with an enemy, and causes a huge amount of damage. After use, MegaMan.EXE suffers from a mild HP bug while accessing the Custom Screen.

Dark Thunder also appeared as one of Dark MegaMan.EXE's Active Skills in Mega Man X DiVE.
