Star Man (スターマン, Sutāman^?) is a Robot Master created by Doctor Albert Wily for space combat. He is a romanticist that likes watching opera and musicals, and dreams to travel deep into the space with a lover. In Mega Man 5 he took over a abandoned space station orbiting Earth. After Mega Man 5 he works as the supervisor of the construction from some of Wily's bases, becoming very busy and unhappy. His weapon is Star Crash, which creates a star-shaped barrier around him for defense and can be throw at enemies.

Star Man only jumps through the screen trying to hit Mega Man with his Star Crash, sometimes throwing it. The Water Wave can pass through the Star Crash. After defeating him, Mega Man gets his weapon and the Super Arrow.

His stage makes Mega Man jump higher because of the low gravity. The second M from the Mega Man V Plate is in his stage.

Star Man appears in episode 22, Curse of the Lion Men, from the Mega Man animated series.

The Mega Man 5 bosses have short appearances fighting against Mega Man or helping Wily in the three episodes from the OVA Mega Man: Upon a Star.

In the manga Rockman Megamix, Star Man appeared in the story "Holiday of Soldiers", where the eight Robot Masters from Mega Man 5 have a part-time job in a amusement park to obtain money for Wily. He works in the teacups ride and calls himself "Star Gold" in the job to avoid being recognized as one of Wily's robots. In the manga he's the leader of the Mega Man 5 bosses, is narcissist and carries a rose in his mouth. His Star Crash is very resistant, being able to resist Bass' shots, and he can use it in other robots to protect them.

Star Man also appeared in the Rockman 5 manga.
