Shade Man (シェードマン Shēdoman?) is a Robot Master built to look like a vampire. He originally was a attraction robot from the haunted house of a amusement park, but was stolen and modified for combat by Dr. Wily. Wily installed a sound wave equipment intended to control human minds, but due to a wiring error, it generates powerful destructive sound waves that is used as a weapon called Noise Crush. Shade Man likes to hang in ceilings and dark places, and although he's based on a vampire, he fears ghosts and spiders. He wants to be a singer, and practices hard to improve his poor singing voice, to the point he's always with a microphone.

[edit] Strategy
Shade Man flies in the top of his room and attacks with Noise Crush. When Noise Crush hit a wall, it will return to him and charge his next sound wave attack. If the player use Noise Crush against him in Wily Castle, he'll just absorb it and send stronger waves back. Unfortunately, the player can't do the same with his waves when equipped with his weapon. Shade Man can also attack by diving to drain his enemy's power like a vampire and using a petrifying stare. In Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters he can summon Bubble Bats. His weakness is Wild Coil in Mega Man 7, Slash Claw in Mega Man: The Power Battle and Rolling Cutter in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters.
