The Plug Ball (プラグボール Puragu Bōru?) is Plug Man's special weapon from Mega Man 9. Mega Man shoots out spark balls to shock enemies. The sparks will travel along the terrain. If fired in mid-air, the plug ball will fall directly down and will then travel along the terrain upon contact with it.
The Plug Ball is Tornado Man's weakness, his movements placing him close enough to the walls that you can hit him without having to aim. It also neutralizes any tornadoes it touches.

Damage Data Chart
Edit
Known damage values in units for Mega Man 9.
- For "Spike Shooters" and Wily Machine No. 9's first phase, both bosses do not have data for them because they must be damaged with their own weapon or obstacle -- the Plug Ball cannot inflict damage to them directly.
Attack power
Edit
This weapon deals two units of damage to enemies when used by Mega Man (excluding weaknesses and immunities). When Plug Man uses it on Mega Man, it deals five damage to him.
Capacity
Edit
It takes two Plug Balls to use a single weapon energy unit. Mega Man can fire fifty-six plug balls with a full energy gauge.
Usefulness
Edit
- Due to the low weapon energy cost, it can be a decent alternative to the Mega Buster. However, it's not very good against air targets; but it can be useful for dealing with enemies that cling to walls, such as Sakrets.
- Since the Tornado Blow runs out of Weapon Energy before you can defeat him, the Plug Ball can be somewhat useful to finish off Magma Man, since they travel along the walls and maneuver through the uneven terrain.
