Neige (ネージュ, Neige^?) is a human reporter that plays an important part in Mega Man Zero 4. Her name is French for "snow". She has previous relations to Craft, and she gets kidnapped by him some way into the game and is rescued by Zero. After the events of the kidnapping and rescue, she apologizes to Zero, and also mentioned that she committed the biggest sin in Journalism, which is believing every word that was stated about Zero and the resistance, and not researching the details to discover the truth.

Neige is a human female who used to work as a journalist for Neo Arcadia. When those opposing Weil were disposed of one by one, Neige left Neo Arcadia to lead a human Caravan away from Weil's oppression. She admires Craft, a Reploid she once interviewed during her journalist days. Even though she may have feelings for Craft, she doesn't display qualms about Zero's defeating him, and is instead grateful that Craft was eventually stopped.

Later, Neige provides the Resistance with coordinates to the Teleporter Base, as part of the plan to infiltrate Ragnarok. In the ending, she is amongst those who watch as Ragnarok falls from the sky, wondering if Zero could have possibly survived the crash.

• Neige is the narrator of the prologue of Mega Man Zero 4, telling the player of the events that happened up to the start of the game, and showing a perspective on the humans' opinion of the Reploids.
  • In Neige's narration, she refers to the 1st Maverick, Elf, and 2nd Maverick Wars collectively as the "War of the Machines"^[1]. However, Neige states that the creation of Reploids saw the start of the war, omitting the Wily Wars, the true beginnings of the war.
• Character drawings of Neige were initially created with multiple skin tones, as designers played around with the idea of a suntan for the leader of the Caravan.
• Neige is a bit like Iris from the X and Battle Network series, as Craft loves and protects her, like Colonel from X and Battle Network (The difference, though, is that the reason Colonel loves Iris and desires to protect her is due to the fact that he is her older Brother, and Craft loves her in a more romantic fashion). Her fierce and leading personality is her own though.
