A minigame (also spelled mini-game or mini game) is a short video game often contained within another video game. A minigame is always smaller or more simplistic than the main game in which it is contained. They usually appear as an extra activity for entertainment, to train the characters, or to obtain specific items. Sometimes they also appear during the story, and must be completed to progress.

Mega Man Zero series[]

Mega Man Zero 2[]

Mega Man Zero 2 has three multiplayer mini games. They are not present in Mega Man Zero Collection and Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.

The players race through three small stages filled with spikes, Telly Bombs, and Pantheon Hunters.
Enemy Battle Enemy Battle
The players that destroy most enemies (Hoppiders and Molegules) wins the game.
Get Items Get Items
Z Panels fall from the top of the screen and Molegules appear to attack the players. The player that obtains more Z Panels wins the game.

The winner gains 100 EC. If it is a draw, each player gains 20 EC.

Mega Man Zero 3[]

There are seven unlockable mini games, each featuring a character. Casual Scenario is present in only Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.

Using 3 elements, destroy panels on a belt conveyor. The L Button and R Button change elements, and the B Button attacks. Thunder on Ice, Ice on Fire, Fire on Thunder. 3 misses means game over. Complete the game in Hard Mode.
Harpuia
(とりでキルキル Tori de Kiru Kiru)
"Birdie Chopchop"
Riding Aztec Falcon, jump over obstacles and slash foes. Press the A Button to jump, and the B Button to slash. The minigame ends when you get hit 3 times, crash, or fall in a pit. Complete the game with an S rank, using only the Z-Saber.
Fefnir
(どろぼうウツウツ Dorobou Utsu Utsu)
"Shoot Shoot the Thieves"
Stop Carryarms from taking the items. Use the Control Pad to move Fefnir, and press the B Button to fire Meteor Rain. Score bonus points when items Drop. The minigame ends when an item is taken. Complete all missions with a perfect score of 100.
Leviathan
(さかなツクツク Sakana Tsuku Tsuku)
"Pokie Pokie the Fishies"
Move Leviathan with the Control Pad, and press the B Button to attack using her spear. Earn score and time by hitting only Mechaniloids. Consecutive hits score bonus points. The minigame ends when time runs out. Complete all missions with a perfect score of 100.
Phantom
(しゅりけんでニンニン Shuriken de Nin Nin)
"Stealthy Throwing Stars"
Jump from one shuriken to another. Use the Control Pad to move, and press the A Button to jump. Ends when hit 3 times, or you fall from a shuriken. Complete the game with S rank, using only the Buster Shot.

In the Japanese version, the mini games from the Four Guardians can also be unlocked by using the Battle Chips Meteor Red Sun or Blue Moon Ray in a Battle Chip Gate.[1]

Mega Man Zero 4[]

There are seven unlockable mini games. Minigames can't be unlocked in Easy Mode. Casual Scenario is present in only Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.

Lava Surf Move with the Control Pad. Extinguish flames with B Button.
Press the A Button to jump. Drench flames early for more points. Keep cool or lose time. There is a 60 second time limit.
Complete the database.
Elf Chase Move with the Control Pad. Drive the Scrap Elf to the light with the lamp.
Press the A Button to jump, and the B Button to shine your lamp. There is a 60 second time limit.
Complete the game with all 51 Parts (including Junk and S-Crystal), but don't make any Chips, and rise the Cyber-elf to Level 7.
Slam Harvest Move with the +Control Pad. Smash switches and grab items. Press the A Button jump, and the B Button to use your hammer. The item size determines the amount of points you get. Spikes drop time but can be broken. There is a 60 second time limit. Complete the game in 1 hour or less.
Energy Lab Move with the Control Pad. Press the A Button to jump, remove joints by pressing the B Button, and press it again to move joint forward. Match to destroy. There is a 90 second time limit. Beat the high-score of the other six Mini Games.

Dribble Trouble[]

"Dribble the ball to the goal within the time limit."

Dribble Trouble (ドリブルトラブル) is a game that becomes available in the game room after completing the Secure the Biometal mission. It costs 20 EC to play. With the base form, the player must dribble a bouncy soccer ball through a rough terrain to the goal within the time limit of 90 seconds.

Crusher F[]

"Punch the ball to bounce the ball at the enemy to defeat them."

Crusher F (クラッシャーF) is a game that becomes available in the game room after completing the Save the People mission. It costs 40 EC to play. It is a block breaking game that has Model FX moving up and down a ladder to punch a bouncy ball that will destroy enemies. Breakable blocks also appear in some stages, and while they don't need to be destroyed to advance to the next stage, the player may need break some of them to open a path for the ball. The player gains one point for each time the ball is hit and an enemy or block is destroyed, and bonus points are awarded for destroying multiple targets before the ball is punched again. The game has ten stages, and the player gains 50 points when the game is cleared.

Mega Crusher F[]

Mega Crusher F, known as Crusher F' (クラッシャーF') in Japan, is the third game available in the game room. It costs 50 EC to play. It is a more difficult version of Crusher F that is unlocked after beating the default high score of Crusher F.

Energy Converter[]

"Combine jewels of the same color to help destroy enemies. The blocks won't vanish if a black block is in-between them. Combine black blocks to erase them. Combine jewels and blocks while they're falling. A new enemy appears every time an old one's energy runs out."

Energy Converter (エナジーコンバーター) is a game that becomes available in the game room after defeating Serpent and saving the game. It costs 80 EC to play. It is a jewel matching game where the player must destroy colored jewels or black blocks by matching them with the ones falling before they land. The side shows the score and the player's character fighing against an enemy that takes 1 point of damage for each jewel or block destroyed. When the enemy is defeated, other appears on its place and the game's speed increases.

There are four mini games that can be accessed from the title screen. Also, the Quests "Enemy Buster #1" and "Highway Race" are mini games.

Gem Buster[]

"Sandwich jewels between 2 jewels of the same color to erase them. Combine black blocks with other black blocks. Combinations are possible with falling blocks only. *For ad-hoc network play only."

Gem Buster, known as Energy Converter A (エナジーコンバーターA Enajī Konbātā A) in Japan, is a mini game unlocked by talking with Julian in Hunter's Camp. It is a multiplayer version of the Energy Converter from the previous game. Not included in the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.

Survival Road[]

"Fight every boss in the game one after another. One player. Health and BM Gauge are returned to their default settings. Use of items is prohibited. Health can be restored by the use of 2 sub tanks only."

Mega Man a is unlocked by completing the game. It has three levels, each of which is unlocked by completing the game on different difficulties (Beginner mode only unlocks one level, Hard mode unlocks all three).

Mega Man Legends series[]

Mega Man Legends[]

MegaMan Volnutt can participate on three minigames in the Kattelox TV studio. Two of them are part of a hit show called "Dangerous Games" and are accessed in the reception. The Race Game only becomes available if he has the Jet Skates, and is accessed by talking with a man inside. All have a time limit and four difficulty levels ranked from D to A, and grants Zenny when completed. An unique reward is given when the highest rank is completed for the first time.

  • Beast Hunter - The room has a mechanical dog chasing a mechanical man, and MegaMan must kick a ball at the dog as many times as possible within the time limit. He wins if he manages to hit the dog 10 (Rank D) to 16 (Rank A) times. MegaMan wins the Zetsabre for completing at Rank A, one of the items required to create the Blade Arm.
  • Balloon Fantasy - Several blue and red balloons are release into a room, and MegaMan must pop all red balloons as fast as possible within the time limit. Time goes down if a blue balloon is popped. MegaMan wins the Mystic Orb for completing at Rank A, one of the items required to create the Shield Arm.
  • Race Game - MegaMan must complete a course in Downtown within the time limit, each course having red cones marking the path. The timer will stop for a short time if MegaMan knocks the yellow cones on the way. Has three courses, each with four ranks. The prize for Straight Course Rank A is a Music Box that can be gifted to Roll, for Left Curve Course Rank A the Buster Parts Omni-Unit, and for Technical Course Rank A a Giant Horn.

Mega Man Legends 2[]

After freeing Kimotoma City from the Bonne family, if MegaMan has the Jet Skates, is not bad, and the city's golden statue is intact (either by retrieving it in one piece from Blitzkrieg or after it is restored with MegaMan's donations), Mad Mossa challenges MegaMan to beat his records in a racing minigame, gaining Zenny if he succeeds. The Misadventures of Tron Bonne[]

The Gesellschaft's Gym contains two mini games to improve the Attack and Speed from Servbots, and the Torture Room has a minigame to reduce their Sloth. The Japanese version also has four minigames for the PocketStation.

Mega Man Battle Network series[]

Some NetNavis challenge MegaMan.EXE to a memory game.

Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation[]

There are minigames for NumberMan, IceMan, MetalMan, WindMan, SearchMan and NapalmMan.
