  • Good afternoon!

I wanted to contact you about some recent vandalism that has been happening to the Mega Man Eternal page, by user Zieldak. I was wondering if it would be possible to lock the Mega Man Eternal page to the state that it is without any of the edits Zieldak made to it, so that no one can vadalize it anymore.

The content that Zieldak is putting on the Mega Man Eternal page is false information, and information that is irrelivant to the fan game. Some of the false information that Zieldak is posting on the page is false information that is damaging to the character of the creator.

    • Hi,

I am looking into the issue right now. As I do not own the game, have never played it, and don't intend to any time soon, I cannot confirm the validity of what you or the other users might say. It seems to me that some of the information from User:Zieldak can be used for the article (while other is just opinions and should not). I am going to lock the page so that only admins can edit it (until another admin or I see fit to take off the restriction). However, I do ask that you look over the new edit of the page, which I will try to clean up right now based on what Zieldak wrote, and point out if anything is false. As I mentioned, I cannot confirm any details but I am going on good faith that no one has any reason to make up blatant bugs and other details about the game.

Also, I'll just mention that drpage has refined some of the trivia in order to accomidate  Zieldak. I'm just mentioning this because the last two bullets on the trivia

      • "Mega Man can attack Dr. Light in this game.
      • Some of the game's enemies that are shaped like spikes cause instant death upon contact, similar toSpikes. "

are redundant because they've already been addressed.

      • "Spikes in this game defeat Mega Man instantly, as seen in many Mega Man games including Mega Man 1."
      • "In the gallery there is an easter egg: Dr. Light can be shot which causes him to hysterically bounce around the gallery. Upon enough hits, Dr. Light turns red and begins attacking you with pulse attacks (in homage to the shopkeeper in Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and Cuccos in the Legend of Zeldaseries)."

    • Edited accordingly. Did not see those before, so I removed my previous trivia entry. Thanks for pointing it out.

  • Why in the Cold Man article, in the "strategy" part word "Mega Man" is used? Cold Man fights Bass too! Then I must replace "Mega Man" by "you" or "player"?

And also there is nothing about Cold Man's floor freezing attack.

    Must I fix it?

(And I am sorry for my grammatical mistakes if I did them =))

      Loading editor
    • Or you could just say "the player"  -- or "Mega Man/Bass" if you want, unless there are specific strategies with the two.

        Loading editor
    • Twilight Man's advice is right.

As a rule of thumb, we want to avoid usage of "you" wherever possible (with exception being the actual walkthroughs). So in such situations, we usually use "the player" or "Mega Man" interchangably. However, it is best to be consistent, where if in a previous instance the article uses "the palyer" its best to follow suit, unless the need to differentiate characters comes up, as Twilight Man pointed out. So, if there are different strategies with Bass or Mega Man, jsut be sure to point it out with some indication, such as "Playing as Bass....." etc.

Np on the mistakes. Just try your best to input info as best as you can (if something is missing, add it!).

  • So, I haven't been here in ages, but to answer your question: The Dr. RW image does come from the Japanese Rockman 3 prototype. It appears actually also on some background objects but these were later removed from that game.

    Thanks! :)

    • Hey. Welcome back, even if it's for a short while :)

Thank you for replying to me. This clears up some uncertainties and I thank you for it.

I hope to see on some more around here. Cheers!

  • Hey buddy!  I need help with one last edit I want to do in Zero's Buster page...

I've been trying to find HD images of his shots from Tatsunoko vs Capcom to add them with his shots from MvC3 in the other media section, but I can't seem to find them and I don't have the game to get them myself either.  Do you know anyone who could help me add them on the page?  It's literally the only thing missing to have the page 100% complete.

Send me a message regarding the subject whenever you have the chance please.

    • Hey. Sorry for the delay man! Not as active here as I used to be. Okay good news: I can actually upload them. Bad news: not any time soon.

The thing is I do not have the game. But, I can "obtain". If you know what it is then maybe you can do it yourself. My plan would be to get the rom of the game and run it on Dolphin (Wii emu) with HD settings and then take pics. It would be awesome if you could do it, since I dont really know the timing when to take the pics, etc. but if you can't it's okay. I will get to it someday.

Btw, are there any graphic differences between Tatsunoko vs Capcom and the Ultimate version (or w/e it's called) as far as you know?

        Loading editor
    • I don't think graphical differences would be a concern, because the arcade version was only released in Japan and the Ultimate version, which is the Wii port, was released in both Japan and the US.  The Wii port also has more additional, exclusive content and that includes Zero, so that's a plus.

ANYway, thanks for telling me about the pics and whoever uploads them first, it doesn't matter, it's not like if we are in a hurry, right?  I did found an image of his Lv. 3 shot from the game and although is not HD, I still uploaded it.

  • Hi, ItchyNutz. I don't know if I'm going to the right person for this, but some major trolling just happened on the Punch-Out!! wiki that I can't fix for various reasons. Could you do a favor and fix that? Thanks, Dudeman

    • Hello. Thanks for doing what you could for the wiki anyways. If you look at it now, you will see that the vandalism is out of control. If you know what they are, could you tell me the names of the admin(s) so that I can see if they'd be willing to help?

    • Hey man. Apologies on the delay of my response >_<

I feel bad for that wiki man. Not only is it small, but the admins are not very active (that's a nice way to put it lol), and not to mention the constant vandal who just can't get enough! But hopefully it will get better soon. Here is the info you requested:

The admins are AbeX360 and Bullet Francisco.

Here is a link to the admin page: link.

For future reference, on any wiki, you should be able to following this link to find the admins: www.WikiName.Com/wiki/Special:ListUsers/sysop

Good luck! Hope everything is better now.

  • Quote Napalm Man is a huge weapons enthusiast, to the point that it could be considered a rabid obsession. He even dreamet of opening a weapons museum, a dream he would come to on day realize. But sadly, when that day arrived, no one came to see the museum. Unquote

His reason for joining the race was to get money to build the museum. His ending in that game says exactly what it say at the end of my quote. That he finally opened up the museum but no one came.

    • Yes, I see what you are saying, and I must say that even though the parallel is possible, there is some discrepancy. In Battle and Chase ending he does get one visitor, lol poor guy. I guess it could be included as trivia. Feel free to do so (I can reword for clarity later) and if anything, another admin who might have another opinion can change it or leave it at their discretion. Are there any other quotes that can reveal/suggest anything of a similar nature as this? Thanks.

    • I didn't remember that part. To tell you the truth I only beat that game with Proto Man the others ending I watched on youtube along time ago. Ok I will undo your undo and u can reword it, I just though from the way it sounded he really could be the canonicle winner of that game, which is cool, I kinnda get burned out with games with mulpite endings but only the heros ending is canon. Like Soul Cal, Mortal Kombat, KOTOR, and so on.

  • Yo IN,

Alright, so apparently I'm not all that competent with making charts and templates from scratch. I'm trying to revamp a Special Weapons chart that I created for the Mega Man 3/Data page (in a similar style to what I have, but with the DDC colors), but apparently it's not working out. Are you good with charts, or am I asking the wrong person? =P

    • Hey TMan.

I was just looking over the page and it seems like you got the job done. Am I right in assuming that? If not then let me know in more detail what exactly you need help with. Just to let you know, I am not too proficient with charts as well, however, I can always give it a try and learn it for future reference :P

        Loading editor
    • I haven't seen Udana around here lately to help with templates and charts, so I used the Battle Network virus chart as a base. :P While I got most of the results I wanted, I'd like to have it so that the words don't wordwrap, such as "Attack Power" or "Obtained From". Perhaps you could try something?

        Loading editor
    • Okay you can try this in all future instances. Right Click on one of the cells located in the column of interest, the one where words warp, and go to Cell Properties. There, play around with cell Width by entering various values, until you maka the cell the right size to prevent word warping. Note that by doing this to one cell, you force all other cells in the column to shift the predfined width. In the case of the spceial weapons, in my edit, I set the width to 100 px which seems okay. Try it to see if you want to make the boxes smaller, etc. Let me know if you understood it or if you need more info :)

  • Hello there!

I'm the programmer of the fangame "Megaman Project Zero". I was contacted some days ago by a guy named Barry who was interested in some info about my game. He recommended me to visit this page and talk about my project.

Honestly, It's been quite a while since I don't work on my game. It received poor attention in yoyogames (where I first uploaded it), and also some other forums (and youtube) where I was lucky to read 2 or 3 comments. Obviously I think it's a nice game, I also got a compliment about my work here:

    anjelsyndicate.org

but other than that, I haven´t received good feedback.

It would be nice having my game better known and played, and this wiki looks nice for that (I also appreciate it a lot), so, what kind of info do you need? Is it about the gameplay? bosses? story? Please let me know.

Thanx in advance for your time. Have a nice day.

    Zigma

    • Hey, it is nice to meet you.

First of all, I would suggest you make an account here, so that it would make keeping correspondence with you easier. Second, I would suggest that you attempt to make the page yourself, since this is a community knowledge base after all :). Even if you never edited wikis, it is not too hard and worth giving a try; plus, I would be more than willing to assist you in any manner possible.

Now for the information that is required, I would suggest you take a look at the following page with other fan games: Fan Games. Check out the pages/articles for various fan games, and it should give you an idea of what is needed and what format the articles follow. Keep in mind that if you can contribute more type of info for your game's article, then that is always good.

Let me know if you are up for it and if you have any other questions. I sure hope so :)

    • Hello again!!.  :D

As you can see, I'm following your suggestion ^_^. I've started by creating an account . . . and now I'm going to read some articles in order to get ideas .

Let me start gathering the info, then I'll be here bothering you with questions about how to edit and give format to the article. . xD. . I haven't written a wiki before. .

Thanx for offering your help.  :)

    • My pleasure. Thank you for geting involved here. Also, do not sweat it about not having time. It is okay, we all here have moments when we are very busy and then other moments when we have free time. When you have time again, just come back here and do an edit or two at your own leisure; no hurry at all :)

Thanks for all your efforts. We are glad to have you here!

P.S. If you have any questions, need help, or just wish to discuss something important, feel free to contact me or other admins here. We will do our best to be of assitance.

    • I just wanted to leave a little comment about edits, before I forget. It is okay to leave red/empty links on pages. This is actually a good thing, because it shows what is missing and is necessary on this wiki, so that someone may one day create the missing/red linked pages. Just a friendly pointer from me :)
