[edit] Story (Official Description)
"It's three times the thrills... three times the action... three times the fun. It's MEGA MAN 3! Legions of once peaceful robots have been mysteriously transformed into a horde of humanity-hating berserk droids! Nobody is safe - least of all Mega Man. Armed with every android-annihilator ever invented, they're determined to reduce the super-powered cyborg into a heap of radioactive waste! Can our hero outfight, outwit and "out-robot" the robots? Will Mega man pulverize powerful robot-maniacs? Or will he meltdown? It's all up to you, as you join the battle in Mega Man 3."[1]
[edit] Actual Story
In the year 2010 (one year after the Gamma Incident and shortly after the events of Mega Man 4), the world was peaceful once again thanks to the peacekeeping supercomputer CRORQ that had been reprogrammed after Mega Man brought Dr. Wily to justice one year earlier. However, peaceful robots all around the world slowly began to turn violent and six Robot Masters took center stage. Dr. Light sent Mega Man to investigate the incident and go after the Robot Masters. Once Mega Man defeated them and their underlings, he discovered that Dr. Wily had managed to once again reprogram the supercomputer CRORQ which had made the Robot Masters turn against their creators. Thus, Mega Man was forced to head to Wily's newly constructed Skull Castle, defeat CRORQ, and put Wily's plans on ice yet again...

[edit] Ending
The ending of this game is exactly the same as that of Mega Man (PC), except for the credits. Unfortunately, for all your hard work, you still get the same one-screen ending.
[edit] Trivia
- This game was the second and last Mega Man game for DOS computers, but it is named Mega Man 3. Strangely, there was no Mega Man 2 for the PC. This may have been due to Hi-Tech (and Capcom) wanting to capitalize off of the success of Mega Man 3 on the NES.
- Four of the Robot Masters have the same name of other original characters: Oil Man, Wave Man, SharkMan.EXE and TorchMan.EXE (FireMan.EXE's American anime name).
- All six of the Robot Masters' portraits were directly ripped from various games and edited to represent such bosses:
- Wave Man --> Air Man - Fan is replaced by six water guns.
- Bit Man --> Hard Man - Colour is changed to bright yellow and a decorative piece is added to the head.
- Blade Man --> Metal Man - Circular saw is removed and colour is changed to purple.
- Torch Man --> Magnet Man - Magnet is removed.
- Shark Man --> Crash Man - Visor and helmet is replaced by a grey helmet decorated to look like a shark's head or a Snake Man with his Snake helmet redecorated like a shark.
- Oil Man --> Flash Man - Colour is changed to red and the helmet is altered a bit to cover the mouth.
Site user Yahweh_divine is making a remake of both Mega Man PC and Mega Man 3 (PC), featuring NES-style graphics, a customized 8-bit soundtrack, and more. The remake is called Mega Man PC: The CRORQ Chronicles.
