Longshot Gizmo (ロングショットギズモ Rongushotto Gizumo) is a Shoulder-type cannon weapon that Vile obtains by defeating Storm Eagle in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. When equipped with this weapon, Vile shoots a stream of five super-shot shaped projectiles with slightly randomized trajectories. This weapon inflicts pretty good damage, and the range is about a screen’s width. When using Longshot Gizmo, Vile’s feet are nailed to the ground for all five shots, so it is rather tough to use without him getting plastered by some enemy or weapon shot.
Longshot Gizmo is Flame Mammoth's weakness, and Mega Man X takes a decent amount of damage from this weapon as well.
Defeating Storm Eagle will Vile not only be rewarded with Longshot Gizmo, but he will also be rewarded with Bang Away Bomb as well.
