Jewel Man (ジュエルマン, Jewel Man^?) is one of the Robot Masters from Mega Man 9 whose period of use had expired and was scheduled to be scrapped. Jewel Man was designed to work in a diamond mine where he was in charge of cutting and polishing rocks with dexterity. He likes to receive attention and collect shiny things.

His attack, Jewel Satellite, has jewels surround Mega Man like a shield. Similar to Wood Man's Leaf Shield, Skull Man's Skull Barrier, Star Man's Star Crash, Plant Man's Plant Barrier and Junk Man's Junk Shield.

[edit] Boss Strategy

His pattern is that he runs left and right with his Jewel Satellite surrounding him; he only jumps when Mega Man jumps, and throws individual jewels at Mega Man whenever he hits one of them. It's actually possible to slip in a shot through his shield, but only if you have a good aim.

His weakness is Galaxy Man's Black Hole Bomb. It will actually suck in the jewels and he can't fire any more at you. He'll then eventually reload the jewels though.

[edit] Sub-Boss Strategy

The sub-boss is a tricky one. First, a rumble will occur, then several boulders will fall from the ceiling. The last one has a face on it, and when it hits the ground, it will shake the stage, making Mega Man fall down, then it'll run over him. If he jumps right when the boulder hits the ground, he will feel free to blast it.

His weakness is the Hornet Chaser. Even before the first boulder falls, the bees will attack the faced boulder, but they cause him to fall early.

• He is one of three Robot Masters in Mega Man 9 to have a human-like apearance, the others being Tornado Man & Splash Woman.
• He made a reference to Skull Man since they both mirror Mega Man's actions.
• On his artwork, his eyelids are blue and his eyes dark blue, but on his mugshot they eyelids are pink and the eyes red because of color limitations from the game.
• In the credits, Jewel Man impresses Roll by giving her a huge gem.
