Grizzly Slash (クレッセント・グリズリー, Kuressento Gurizurī^?, Crescent Grizzly in Japan) is a grizzly bear Maverick from Mega Man X5. He is a weapons dealer that deals weapons in his secret warehouse, and he has a Crystal Ball, a part necessary to the laser Enigma. Through he sells weapons, he seems to not like violence, saying that he is just a weapons dealer and that both Mavericks and Maverick Hunters are the same, too violent and overconfident. When the player fights against him with Zero, he shows that he hates him because of unknown past events with him, saying to Zero that "seeing you re-opens old wounds...", which Zero responds "you should have that looked after.". When the Maverick Hunters reached his warehouse to take the Crystal Ball, he was infected by the Sigma Virus and was starting to become a Maverick, wanting to die in a fight before he turns into a Maverick.

He attacks by throwing three small crescent shots from his clawed hand and jumping, and when 1/3 of his energy is depleted he will dig, appearing by times to attack using his hand as a drill when appearing from the floor, slashing when appearing from walls, or falling into enemies from the ceiling. After 2/3 of his energy ends he will stop digging and will use giant crescent attacks. Some walkthroughs recommend defeating him first. But if the player need to fight against him with a special weapon or in the rematch against him in the final stages, use Spike Ball (with X) or Twin Dream (with Zero).

• Grizzly Slash's English name was based on Saul Hudson's nickname, "Slash", the former lead guitarist of the rock band Guns 'n Roses.
• He makes a cameo appearance in the Rockman Zero manga.
• He is one of the two Mavericks that Zero tells to "shut up and fight" with the other being Frost Walrus.
