FireMan.EXE (ファイアマン.EXE[3][4] Faiaman Eguze) is Mr. Match's first NetNavi. In the games, he works with Mr. Match as a member of WWW in Mega Man Battle Network and reappears as Mr. Match's partner in the Den Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4.

FireMan appears to be different from his Robot Master counterpart from classic Mega Man series. He supposedly wears a red suit, has a gray torch-shaped head that seemingly connected to his torso, red cubic shoulders, two arm cannon with a blue on the middle and a yellow end, gray boots with blue soles.
His Navi mark has a gray surrounding and represents a yellow fire on an orange background.
History[]
Mega Man Battle Network[]
FireMan appears setting fire to the oven in Lan Hikari's home. MegaMan challenges him, and he is defeated.

Ghost Navi Set Encounter in the Internet 1 after defeating FireMan.

Ghost Navi Random Encounter in the Internet 1 after defeating FireMan V2.
Mega Man Network Transmission[]
In that game, FireMan was one of the victims of the Zero Virus, and as well the first boss of the game once again. He went on a rampage and burned the net, but was defeated by MegaMan and the fire was extinguished. Mr. Match intervened before FireMan was deleted, explaining how he had no control over FireMan after he installed the fake Zero vaccine.
FireMan is dangerous at close range with Burning Body and Burning Tower, so use long-range attacks. Make sure to have the FireArmr equipped to reduce damage taken. The player can dodge his Fire Arm by sliding underneath it or underneath FireMan's legs. When FireMan is defeated, the player will receive either a Fire Arm battle chip or a FireMan battle chip.
Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge[]
FireMan appears alongside Mr. Match in the Battle Chip GP. He appears as the final opponent in the D-Class Match Tournament, the third round of the C-Class Quick Tournament, the third round of the X-Class Shadow Tournament and random encounters in Open Battles.
Mega Man Battle Network 4[]
FireMan is Mr. Match's NetNavi in the Den Battle Tournament. He is one of the competitors that may face off against MegaMan.
Before the match in the Eagle/Hawk Tournament, FireMan will NetBattle against BurnMan in an attempt to decide who's the better fire NetNavi. Their battle sets the whole Net on fire and MegaMan has to convince them to stop.

FireMan appears as a Cache Data. In Chapter 1, he got into Meiru's PC and made it buggy, but was deleted by Rockman. In Chapter 8, he reappears along with JammingMan in the Cache Server no Dennō 2 blocking the way to the Cache Server no Dennō 3, but was deleted again.

Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation[]
FireMan is an unlockable playable character. His theme is a remix of his Robot Master's counterpart from Rockman. He gains HP by absorbing Fire-based Battle Chips.
FireMan can extinguish fire obstacles blocking the way on the Internet.
He also appears as one of the opponents in the first Everyday Tournament area and in the Silver Tournament.

FireMan appears as a boss in original Mega Man Battle Network, 4, Network Transmission, Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation and Phantom of Network.

In the anime, FireMan is renamed TorchMan and has an expanded history alongside several other characters. While he and Mr. Match are still the first villain Lan and MegaMan face, TorchMan and his operator quickly become more friends to Lan and his friends during the course of the show.
Manga[]
MegaMan NT Warrior[]
In the manga, TorchMan sets fire on the ACDC Elementary School, but is deleted by MegaMan. After Mr. Match restores him with a backup, TorchMan tries to get revenge, but is defeated again. After gaining the power of darkness, TorchMan transformed into a DS Navi named FlameMan.

- Fire Arm (ファイアアーム Faia Āmu):
FireMan attacks with a flamethrower that covers the entire row.
- Flame Tower (フレイムタワー Fureimu Tawā):
FireMan summons a Fire Tower that travels forward, slowly moving up and down as it tracks the player's position.
- Fire Bomb (ファイアボム[6][7] Faia Bomu):
Only in Battle Network 4, Rockman EXE 4.5 and Phantom of Network. FireMan launches multiple bombs that explode on panels they come into contact with, leaving rings of fire.
Only in Mega Man Battle Network [5][]
- Burner Bomb (バーナーボム Bānā Bomu):
FireMan shoots out multiple bombs that land dormant on the player's field. After a moment, the bomb will explode, leaving a ring of fire.
Only in Mega Man Network Transmission [8][]
- Burning Body (バーニングボディ Bāningu Bodi):
When the player stands too close, FireMan will unleash flames around him.
- Burning Tower (バーニングタワー Bāningu Tawā):
FireMan releases a huge column of fire into the air. FireMan uses this at low HP.

- Flame Circle (フレイムサークル Fureimu Sākuru):
FireMan summons a Flame Tower variation that moves in a circle, leaving only the center panel safe.

After completing FireMan's scenario in Red Sun, MegaMan obtains Fire Soul. While most souls boosts existing elemental chips, Fire Soul will convert Fire Chips into FireMan's iconic Fire Arm attack. It's most unique ability is resetting the entire field into those with Grass Panels.
Battle Chips[]
FireMan Battle Chips are mainly obtained by defeating FireMan.
FireMan Battle Chips became stronger in Rockman.EXE Operate Shooting Star.

FireMan chips can only be obtained in the Red Sun version. They can be traded with the Blue Moon version, where they are Secret Chips.

Trivia[]
- FireMan's Navi Mark has the same design as those of HeatMan and FlameMan, with the only exception being the background color of the emblem (FireMan's is orange, whereas HeatMan's and FlameMan's are red and black, respectively). This is most likely due to the fact that all three Navi's were owned and operated by Mr.Match, who can be seen wearing a similar emblem in the first game.
