Air Force (エアフォース, Eafōsu) is Storm Owl's stage in Mega Man X4. It is a fleet that is part of Repliforce's Air Wing.

The first half of the stage features air ships which act as platforms, some of those air ships are actual enemies that will shoot blasts of energy and homing missiles, as well as featuring the Ride Armor Eagle which can be obtained early on the stage and be used to travel across safely. Along the way, numerous flying saucers will fire a giant laser blast, giving just enough time to travel across before destroying the flying vehicles. One of those sections has a Life Up on top.

Air Force Area 2

The second half of the stage is a shorter area with Beam Cannons. After reaching the end of the spike section, there are Light Capsules containing the Fourth Armor's Arm Parts, the closest to X containing the Stock Shot Arm Parts, and the farthest the Plasma Shot Arm Parts. This section is reached using Lightning Web and a well timed wall jump. After crossing the boss door, X/Zero will fight the Generaid Core sub-boss. After defeating it, one can proceed to fight Storm Owl.

	Under the first flying saucer in Area 1. Grab it before the platform is destroyed by a laser.
	Arm Parts
	Before the Generaid Core in Area 2, there is a spike-lined shaft in the ceiling. Shoot a Lightning Web to safely wall kick past the spikes. There are two capsules to choose from: the closer one holds the Stock Charge Shot, while the further one holds the Plasma Charge Shot. The player may return to these capsules at any time and switch Arm Parts as desired. If the Ultimate Armor password has been entered, its capsule will appear in place of these two.

Mega Man X DiVE

Air Force is the fourth Story stage in Mega Man X DiVE, with Chill Penguin as the final boss. It also appeared as an event stage Space-Time Jumper with Boomer Kuwanger as the boss.

Rockman X4 manga

The Repliforce's air fleet in the manga.

The Air Wing is destroyed after being brutally shot down by X.

The Air Force makes an appearance in the manga. After the large Mechaniloid Eregion causes havoc and many injuries in an attack on a city, the Repliforce is suspected due to their unique equipment being found next to the Mechaniloid's corpse with evidence that it had been used. As a result, many citizens fiercely criticize the military force and protest for a reduction of Repliforce troops. Some citizens even go so far as to detain Repliforce soldiers and confiscate all of their weapons. Storm Owl, Colonel and General watch these news reports of the events in disgust inside the Repliforce conference room. They decide that they must not abandon their honor and pride, and that it is thus necessary to launch a rebellion to secede from humanity and become an independent organization.

Owl then commands his Air Wing fleet to soar across the skies of the city, broadcasting a live event on their blimps of the Memorial Hall facility where Repliforce's troops and top leadership have gathered for a speech by the General. Owl is in attendance on the stage for the General's speech announcing the Repliforce's defection from the human government and decision to become independent. The Hunters then have no choice but to engage in an all-out war against the Repliforce, charging them as Mavericks and traitors to their fellow Reploids and to humans.

Some weeks later, Owl and his fleet soar over a volcano and engage in unspecified operations to help the coup. Maverick Hunter X tracks them and with the power of his Ultimate Armor, utterly lays waste to the fleet and brutally kills the soldiers aboard it by shooting them down. The fleet crashes into the volcanic island, and Storm Owl lays seriously wounded but still alive. Owl sits in befuddlement at X's amazing power, saying it far exceeds what Reploids can normally have, and accuses X of being the true Maverick, not Repliforce. X then abruptly kills him with a charged buster shot, and tells Owl that he was a Maverick and the humans made no mistake in deeming Repliforce as such, unaware of the real culprit behind Repliforce's coup. With the death of Storm Owl, the entirety of the Repliforce Air Wing is thus wiped out.

Trivia

• In the stage, there are powerful laser cannons fired from above that destroy a group of Metal Hawks in laser fire. The lasers are a possible reference to the film Independence Day.
