List of minor characters from the Mega Man game series.

Original Mega Man series[]

Mega Man 2 robot[]

WilyTinkerRobot

Unnamed robot

In promotional art for the Mega Man 2 boss character contest, Dr. Wily appears tinkering an unnamed yellow robot that never appeared in a game. Several years later the robot was used briefly in a flashback from the manga Mega Man Gigamix volume 2, where Dr. Light and Dr. Wily built him together when they were young.

Mega Man 8 robots[]

When Duo was helping Mega Man in the ending of Mega Man 8, four images of Mega Man's memories are shown, three of them having him dealing with unknown robots. The first scene shows Mega Man fighting against three red flying robots that can attack with electricity, in the second he saves a dog, in the third he stops a robbery, and in the last he saves two kids from a big robot with treads and hammer arms.

Newscasters[]

Newscaster
Newscaster

Newscasters were seen in Mega Man's Soccer and Mega Man 9. The newscaster from Mega Man's Soccer is a blond man with glasses, and the one from Mega Man 9 is a woman that resembles Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series. She also appears in the story "For Whose Sake?" of the Mega Man Megamix manga.

Chairman[]

MM11Committee

Chairman

The chairman from the committee in the opening from Mega Man 11. He is voiced by Chris Smith in the English version and by Masaki Terasoma in the Japanese version. In addition, there are three unknown researchers around them.

Cavemen[]

SARCavemen

Cavemen

Cavemen seen in flashbacks from Super Adventure Rockman. When one of them touched Ra Moon, his hair became white and he became vicious, apparently becoming a leader that waged war against other cavemen.

Mega Man X series[]

The Day of Σ criminals[]

HackersMHX

Concept art of the four Reploid criminals that appear briefly in the The Day of Σ.

A group of Reploid criminals appeared dead in Chapter 3 of the Mega Man Maverick Hunter X OVA, The Day of Σ. They were hired by Sigma to hack industrial Mechaniloids stationed around Abel City, causing them to rampage. Sigma executes them off-screen to cover his involvement in the events.

The pair on the left are simply referred to in concept art as mass-produced criminals, with monitors in Hunter Base designating the purple one Mannequin Seawater and the green one Otakoakat. The short, stocky yellow Reploid is identified as the criminal leader. The skeleton-themed Reploid is called Bone () in concept art, and in Hunter Base he's listed most wanted as Infant Watervalley.[1][2]

In the Archie comics crossover Worlds Unite, Mavericks resembling them appeared as part of Sigma's forces at a base in Sonic Universe #76.

The Day of Σ Maverick Hunters[]

Several unnamed Maverick Hunters appear in the animation. They appear to be mass-produced Reploid models due to the similarity between themselves and the civilian Reploids seen in one scene. Besides the generic Hunters, in one scene there are three different Reploids inside Hunter Base: a green Reploid, a black panther-like Reploid, and a brown bear-like Reploid.

Navigators[]

MHX Navigators

Several navigators in The Day of Σ.

See also: Navigator (Maverick Hunter X)

Unnamed mass-produced Reploid navigators from Mega Man Maverick Hunter X and The Day of Σ. The pink-haired female is a superior version, so there are fewer of her type compared to the blue-haired female model.[3] There is also a male model that seems to be based on the generic Hunter model but with lighter colors.

"Green Biker Dude"[]

The "Green Biker Dude" (abbreviated to GBD), as nicknamed by fans, was an unnamed green Maverick Hunter who accompanied X in the Opening Stage of Mega Man X2. As his nickname suggests, he is a male Reploid with green armor and rides a Ride Chaser bike. He was destroyed by the shots of a Cannon Driver while preforming a wheelie on the way to the Maverick Factory Stage. Since his death, the Green Biker Dude has become a memetic icon to hardcore fans, either as a subject of ridicule or admiration. His popularity stems mainly from the throwaway or "Redshirt" nature of his appearance, as he was only on-screen for a matter of seconds before getting killed.

In the Rockman X2 manga, there is a similar character called Boy who is killed by a traitorous Hunter named Heel in the first chapter.

His nickname is referenced in the Archie Mega Man comic. In the story arc Proto-Type, Proto Man calls a human "green biker dude" due to the fact he rides a green motorcycle.

Mega Man X4 Maverick Hunters[]

In X's story, after X travels to the Final Weapon, three unnamed Maverick Hunters in the 17th Unit are preparing a space shuttle to provide him backup. They bully Double for his clumsiness, but are shocked when Double suddenly receives the order to transform and slaughter them all. With two killed, the last of them radios X, but he is killed by Double, who takes the receiver and tells X it was a false alarm. Although their specific role beyond being Maverick Hunters isn't clearly indicated in the English localization, the Japanese version of Sigma's order revealed that the three Maverick Hunters were meant to act as backup for X when the latter went up to space.

In Zero's story, a flashback shows Sigma working with several unnamed Maverick Hunters. They are positioned outside the laboratory where Zero awoke, and watch as Sigma enters alone. When he emerges, at first they believe he is untouched, but are surprised once he gets close enough to see the extent of his injuries. Sigma ordered them to recover Zero and contact Dr. Cain for study, and when one asked if he was alright, Sigma shoved them aside and walked away. The one with a mouthguard is called a Brainy Type, while the one with the claw is called a Power Type.

Garma's Unit[]

Garma's Unit,[4] known as "Garuma's unit" (ガルマの部隊 Garuma no butai)[4] in Japan, was a unit of Maverick Hunters mentioned by Sigma in a flashback. Zero wiped out all members of the unit, and Sigma decided to fight against the red Maverick himself to avoid more sacrifices. It is unknown if the Reploid corpses seen in Zero's dream in the beginning of the game were members of this unit. It is possible that Garma is a mistranslation and/or pun on the 3rd Greek letter "gamma" (with one possible scenario being that Garma is the unit leader, and his unit is the "Gamma Unit").

The unit was mentioned by Halloween Sigma in the beginning of the Mega Man X DiVE Halloween event "The mysterious master of the Nocturnal Castle".

Injured Reploids[]

RescuableReploids

Three Injured Reploids that appear in Mega Man X6.

Main article: Injured Reploids

In Mega Man X5, Mega Man X6, and Mega Man X7, injured Reploids appear in stages pleading for the Maverick Hunters to save them. There is a single Reploid design across all of Mega Man X5, while X6 and X7 feature a different design for each of the eight stages. The small yellow Reploid from Amazon Area in X6 is a recolor of Middy from Mega Man Xtreme.[5]

Mega Man X5 Maverick Hunters[]

In X's good ending, three years after Sigma's defeat, three Maverick Hunters - a blue male, a brown male, and a white female - are seen accompanying X to stop a Maverick in HORIE 2146 block. One of them comments that X's eyes have sharpened since Zero's disappearance. This trio also appears in the TEPPEN card Supply.

In X's bad ending, one week after Sigma's defeat, two yellow Hunters ask X how he and Zero defeated Sigma, but X doesn't remember the battle and has completely forgotten about Zero. One of them asks what X's dream is, to which X responds that he someday wants to create "Elysium", a paradise where humans and Reploids coexist peacefully.

Mega Man X6 Maverick Hunters[]

Mega Man X6 Hunters

Two Maverick Hunters briefly appear in the Opening Stage. They were injured by D-1000, so X told them to return to the Hunter Base and leave it to him.

Researcher[]

MysteryScientistMMX6

The scientist that appears in Zero's ending of Mega Man X6.

In Zero's ending in Mega Man X6, the "Researcher" (研究者 Kenkyuusha),[6] also known as "Mystery Scientist" (謎の科学者 Nazo no Kagakusha, "Mysterious Scientist"), is an unnamed Reploid scientist that performs Zero's sealing process. His design is full of square motifs and he is voiced by Yoshinori Fujita.[7] Players are left to assume that Zero has known him at least long enough to trust his motives. It is implied that this ending ultimately leads to the events of Mega Man Zero.

Mega Man X7 Mavericks[]

An unnamed type of Maverick Reploid appeared in the opening scene of Mega Man X7. Axl transforms into this Maverick in the scene he explains his abilities to Zero.

This Maverick also appeared in Sonic Universe #76, Mega Man: Worlds Unite Battles #1 (where Axl attempts to use the disguise in an attempt to catch Vile off guard, although Vile deduced his true identity), and Rockman X7 4Koma Manga Kingdom.

Rowdy Reploid[]

The Rowdy Reploid

The Rowdy Reploid[8] is an unnamed Reploid from Mega Man X: Command Mission that reported X's presence to the Rebellion Army in Chapter 2. While approaching X in Central Tower's Air City North Square, he claimed he was not truly a supporter of Epsilon's actions, but as Reploids, they should still support the idea of independence. He then moved to attack X, but was killed by Spider.

Saffron, Cumin and Jasmine[]

For other uses of the name Jasmine, see Jasmine (disambiguation).

Saffron (サフラン), Cumin (クミン) and Jasmine (ジャスミン) are three female Reploid merchants in Mega Man X: Command Mission. They first appear in Chapter 2, where they are rescued by X in Central Tower's Base Security Station and they sell items to him as thanks. After Chapter 2's completion, they move to the Lagrano Ruins' Area 5F-East to sell some of the game's rarest items. The area can only be accessed with the Lagrano Key, found via the Deployment Center after Chapter 3. They also reappear at the beginning of Far East HQ in the game's final chapter.

Saffron is a blonde Reploid with a fanned ponytail who sells general items. Cumin is a blue-haired Reploid with a long ponytail who is the Resistance's armory specialist, selling weapons. Jasmine is the pink-haired Reploid with a single braid who sells Force Metals. Their hats each have Zenny symbols emblazoned on them, each being the same color as their hair.

Rockman ×over[]

Three runner-ups from the game's first boss character contest have a cameo appearance in the game as a Battle Memory. The winner, Arcade Man, also appears as a boss.[9]

  • Tablet Man (タブレットマン Taburettoman) was designed by Daikaen based on a tablet. He is able to cause various effects by tapping the six applications in his touch panel.
  • Zehr [10] (ゼアー Zeā) was designed by TAKA-F as a mysterious rival for OVER-1.
  • Daruman (ダルマン) was designed by Misuke based on a Daruma doll, having in mind something that bring good luck for the franchise's 25th anniversary. He has a large body that is used to roll over opponents, an ink attack, and a hammer attack.

In the second contest for bosses themed after Japan's 47 prefectures, four of the 47 winners received a Mega Man style design, and the winners of the "Dengeki Game App Award" and "Famitsu App Award" (Udon Man and Sudachi Woman) appeared as Battle Memory.[11]

  • Curse Terror (カース・テラー Kāsu Terā), designed by gigam to represent Nagasaki as a colossal unidentified artifact rumored to have been spotted several times in Nagasaki. "Nico Nico Seiga Award". The name is a play on words for castella (カステラ Kasutera), which is a cake the prefecture is famous for.
  • Hanabi Man (ハナビマン), designed by Shibatakazu Nori to represent Niigata. "My Capcom Award". "Hanabi" means fireworks, and Niigata holds one of the most well known fireworks festivals in August, the character being mainly based on the Fukui Phoenix Hanabi from the Fukui Phoenix Matsuri ("Fukui Phoenix Festival"). His Special Weapon is Phoenix Burst, a full-screen attack like the Centaur Flash.
  • Sudachi Woman (すだちウーマン), a robot woman designed by Nori to represent Tokushima. "Famitsu App Award". Sudachi is a green citrus fruit that is a specialty of Tokushima.
  • Udon Man (うどんマン), designed by Anri Kyō as a robot capable of udon mass production to represent Kagawa. "Dengeki Game App Award". Kagawa is well known for its sanuki udon.

Later, seven more entries from the second contest were selected and received a Mega Man style redesign, but they did not appear in the game:

  • Akabekoman (アカベコマン), designed by Mada ne-shi to represent Fukushima, based on Akabeko toy.
  • Beating katsubonīto (ビーティング・カツボニート), designed by Shika kuso to represent Kōchi, based on Skipjack tuna, with his name derived from both of its namings: Katsuwonus pelamis and oceanic bonito.
  • Giganto Volcano (ギガントヴォルカノ), designed by satouma to represent Kumamoto, based on Mount Aso, featuring other references: Watermelon (Kumamoto known for its watermelon production), Kuruma Shrimp (Kumamoto's symbol fish) and Lotus Root Mustard (Kumamoto's local cuisine).
  • Kabukizzuman (カブキッズマン), designed by Kuma~chi kuma shishō to represent Ishikawa, based on Kabuki performer.
  • Manzaiman (マンザイマン), designed by Satoshi to represent Osaka, based on Manzai duo.
  • Rakka kyō & Metall PN (PeaNuts) (ラッカ卿&メットールPN), designed by muramo to represent Chiba, with Peanuts as his main theme, since they are considered a specialty product of Chiba.
  • Sandman (サンドマン), designed by Mine ke to represent Tottori, he's holding a nashi pear since it's Tottori's symbol fruit.

Also, characters from other mobile games appeared as Battle Memory during crossover collaborations. Those include characters from 7: Thousand Wars - Season II,[12] Dragon Coins[13] and the characters Yoshida and Chancellor from the Eagle Talon game Yoshida Shiiku Kit (よしだ飼育キット Yoshida Shiiku Kitto) appearing dressed as OVER-1 and Kalinka, respectively.[14] Yoshida also appears as a boss and playable character.

Tuly, the mascot of the theme park Huis Ten Bosch, appeared as Tuly Rockman in an event Battle Memory.[15]
