So then, recently it seems this game has gotten a much needed update. With a few unique adjustments, this game has become so much cooler. Just to list off all the ones I've noticed from this update so far: - A much needed save feature was implemented (the password system is still retained as well, making for a unique blend of picking back up on progress from the previous version). - New options were added into the main menu. You can now adjust how the spikes function in this game (from how much damage they do, to killing you outright with or without invincibility). You can even adjust Mega Man's sliding ability, knock-back, and invincibility time. All of this makes for a really cool experimental process to try out for potential challenge runs, and is definitely something I think more fan-games should think about implementing. - The control is much more responsive and fluid in this update. The buster no longer has a delay when charging up, and the control config actually works in this version as well. - Most enemies that previously emitted harmful explosions upon death no longer do so. The Spider-Bombs, Detonator, and Pit-based enemies still do this - but I can accept those due to the nature of the enemies themselves.
All in all, this is a great update - and it's certainly made the game much more fun in a lot of regards. Props to GoldwaterDLS for taking note on the previous issues and making this game a lot better - and even further props for him somehow finding a way to make the Quick Man laser-esque gimmicks actually kind of neat!
