Giant Springer (ジャイアントスプリンガー Jaianto Supuringā) is an enemy robot from the original Mega Man series. It is a giant version of Springer made in an attempt to make it stronger. It lacks the speed from the original version, but when approached by an enemy, it launches homing missiles from the top of the head.

Appearances[]

Mega Man 3[]

Giant Springers appear in Magnet Man's stage and the Doc Robot version of the stages of Spark Man, Needle Man, and Shadow Man in Mega Man 3. It can be destroyed with two shots from the Gemini Laser, though Magnet Missile, Hard Knuckle, Search Snake, and Shadow Blade are decent substitutes, defeating it in four shots. Its missiles can be destroyed by Mega Man.

Mega Man II[]

In Mega Man II, they appear in Magnet Man's stage and the final Wily Stage. Unlike Mega Man 3, the missiles are invincible in Mega Man II.

Mega Man: The Wily Wars[]

Giant Springers appear in the third Wily Tower stage in Mega Man: The Wily Wars. Their behavior is the same as Mega Man 3.
