"Albert was wrong, so I helped the Hunters. But I do think he was right about one thing. This world needs to be reset."
—Master Thomas, Mega Man ZX Advent

Master Thomas is a character from Mega Man ZX Advent. He is one of the Sage Trinity, named after Thomas Light from the classic Mega Man series.

Design[]

Master Thomas appears as a large rich brown-skinned man with a long wild mane of red hair and a matching beard, invoking a bit of a lion theme. Like his fellow colleagues, he wears the standard Sage Trinity attire; a light purple form-fitting robe with a white cloth draped over the shoulders. He is normally seen resting his hands atop what resembles a sword in a scabbard with the Sage Trinity emblem.

He is shown to have red eyes, which may have foreshadowed his true nature in the Hard Mode ending. In addition, in Hard Mode, his eyes glowed white.

History[]

Background[]

Master Thomas was a revolutionary scientist who met Master Albert and Master Mikhail hundreds of years ago. Together they equipped bionic bodies and became the Sage Trinity. They then formed Legion, the world's coalition government for the Mega Man ZX series. To manufacture equality, Legion set laws to enhance humans into Humanoids and gave Reploids mortality to blur the boundaries between man and machine.

Mega Man ZX Advent[]

Master Thomas first appears while communicating to Grey/Ashe and over the transporter, and for most of the game functions on certain missions as an operator. While the main characters are arriving at Legion HQ, Albert reveals his plan to reset the world and offers Mikhail and Thomas a do or die choice, but Grey/Ashe arrives before either could respond. Later, when the Ouroboros rises, he gives Grey/Ashe, Vent/Aile, and the Hunters a mission to stop Albert.

Master Thomas along with the four Mega Men

In a secret ending obtained by completing the game on Extreme Mode, Thomas and Mikhail discuss Albert's plan. Thomas claims that Albert wasn't wrong in what he did, agreeing that the world needs to be reborn, and only disagreeing with Albert's method to do so. Mikhail is appalled, but Thomas continues, implying that he had plans for the original human bodies and immortal Reploid data leftover from Legion's equality procedures. The four enemy Mega Men, Aeolus, Thetis, Atlas and Siarnaq, appear beside Thomas and the scene fades to black. Their appearing right after he alluded to his plans for the bodies and immortal Reploid data implied a connection between those plans and their presence.
