Underground Forest (地下樹海 Chika Jukai) is Noble Mandrago's stage in Mega Man Zero 4.
The Underground Forest is a frontline base that used to belong to a resistance group, but is now being used by Dr. Weil's army. It is covered with plant-like nanomachines that thrive on geothermal energy, absorbing the nutrients from the earth and causing erosion. As part of Operation Ragnarok, Noble Mandrago was sent to the area to speed up the erosion. Zero is sent to the area to stop the erosion before it engulfs Area Zero, and defeats Noble Mandrago.

The weather of the stage can be set to sunny or overcast.
This stage is almost entirely centred around the Z-Knuckle - the overgrowth (which serves as obstacles in this stage) will be uprooted instantly, thus the players needs to utilise it to progress. The player can also use the Buster and Saber to destroy the vines, but it is much slower.
Mission - Stop the Erosion[]
- Mission Brief Rouge: This area used to belong to another resistance group. Now it's being used as a forward base by Weil. I'm detecting plant-like nanomachines. They seem to be thriving on the geothermal energy. At this rate, they'll continue until they engulf Area Zero. Stop them before that happens.
- (If the weather is set to Cloudy)
- Rouge: It's overcast, so the nanomachines and Mechaniloids are not operating at 100% efficiency. Now is a good time to strike. This mission?
- (In the Mission) Rouge: This area is overflowing with nanomachines. Nanomachine vines blocking the way can be cleared out with the Buster or Saber... Or even just plucked with the Zero Knuckle.
