Bomb Man Stage (ボンバーマンステージ) is a stage that has Bomb Man as its boss. It appears in Mega Man and Mega Man Powered Up. The stage has white tiles and strange orange orb-like towers in the background.

Appearances[]

Mega Man[]

Bomb Man's Stage takes place in a white institute with strange, orange orb-like towers making up the 'city.' It is primarily a combat stage, throwing a multitude of enemies at you. There is only one gimmick: Bombombombs. These invincible explosives will shoot out of pits in intervals after the initial jump. Upon reaching the apex of their jump, they will explode and shoot out 4 pieces of shrapnel, 2 on each side. Only 4 of them appear after the Fleas, and their attack can be evaded the same way: hiding in the platform's blind spot.

Valuable pickups to look out for:

  • 1-UP: Right after the Flying Shells is a ladder that leads to a small gap in a high platform. The pickup is inside, but is guarded by a Sniper Joe. He is below the player when they first enter the gap, and can only be hurt when he's jumping straight up. This particular Joe can also get stuck inside the wall of the platform and even phased out of existence if the player ignores the pickup altogether, as the enemy tries to jump towards the player vigorously.

Mega Man Powered Up[]

Bomb Man's stage reappears in Mega Man Powered Up. The stage is similar to its original counterpart in the Old Style mode, but has some changes in the New Style mode, having Count Bombs and a path to a Construction Pack that only Ice Man can take.

The Construction Packs Bomb Starter, Bomb Extra, and Old Bomb are based off Bomb Man's stage.

Bomb Man's stage appeared in the Rockman manga, with Bomb Man being the last of the six bosses fought by Rockman. Dr. Wily analyzed Rockman's performance while he fought a Sniper Joe, and he appeared to taunt Rockman after Bomb Man's defeat.
