Tornado

Tornado (トルネード, Tornado) is a recurring Battle Chip from the Mega Man Battle Network series introduced in Mega Man Battle Network 2 as a replacement for the Battle Chips obtained from the Fanner family of viruses in the first Mega Man Battle Network game. When used, it generates a tornado two squares ahead that can hit the target eight times. Each hit causes 20 damage.

In some games, Tornado 's damage is doubled if used on certain panel types, and it also turns those panels back into normal panels. In Mega Man Battle Network 3 and 4, damage is doubled if used on a sand panel. In Mega Man Battle Network 5 and 6, damage is doubled when used on grass, ice, lava, sea, magnetic or volcano panels, and its appearance changes to match the panel it was used on.

Typhoon, Hurricane and Cyclone

Typhoon (タイフーン, Taifūn), Hurricane (ハリケーン, Harikēn), and Cyclone (サイクロン, Saikuron) are Battle Chips in the first game that generate a tornado that hits multiple times two squares ahead. Each causes 30 damage per hit, but their number of hits is different, Typhoon hitting 3 times, Hurricane 5 times and Cyclone 8 times, causing up to 90, 150 and 210 damage, respectively. They are obtained from Fanner viruses. They were replaced by Tornado in later games.

Twister, Blower and Blizzard

Twister (コガラシ, Twister Kogarashi in Japan) and Blower (ネップウ, Blower Neppuu in Japan) are Battle Chips from Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Network Transmission and Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge. They are identical to Tornado, the only difference being that Twister is of the Wood element and Blower of the Fire element.

Twister also appeared in Rockman.EXE Legend of Network alongside Blizzard (ブリザード, Blizzard), an Aqua element version of Tornado.

Static

Static, known as Noise Storm (ノイズストーム, Noise Storm) in Japan, is a Battle Chip introduced in Mega Man Battle Network 4. Similar to Tornado, it creates a noise storm two panels ahead and hits eight times, each causing 20 damage. In Mega Man Battle Network 4 Static is considered an Evil Chip, and if MegaMan is inflicted with bugs, more tornadoes are created around the original tornado. It is a normal chip in later appearances.

Dark Tornado

Dark Tornado (ダークトルネード, Dark Tornado) is a Dark Chip version of Tornado in Mega Man Battle Network 5. Its range will expand relative to the amount of times MegaMan had flinched. The max range is a plus shape achieved after flinching 3 times. After use, MegaMan loses 100 HP every time he opens the Custom Screen; his HP drops to 1 instead if it is 100 or less.

Mega Hurricane

Mega Hurricane (メガハリケーン, Mega Hurricane) is a Mega Chip from Rockman.EXE Legend of Network. It creates hurricanes that hits the square on the front of the user and three vertical squares two squares ahead, in a "-|" shape. Each hurricane can hit eight times and causes 30 damage per hit, causing up to 240 damage in total.
