This article is about the NetNavi LarkMan.EXE. For his Darkloid counterpart, see SwallowMan.EXE (Darkloid). For his Zoanoroid counterpart, see Zoano SwallowMan.EXE.

LarkMan.EXE, known as SwallowMan (スワローマン Suwarōman) in Japan, is a swallow-based NetNavi that appears as an optional boss in Mega Man Battle Network 5 in Undernet 1. He is referenced on the SciLab BBS as a "CyberLark" (電脳ツバメ Den'nō Tsubame, "Cyber Swallow") that someone saw flying into the Undernet. Despite his English name, he does not resemble a lark at all. He considers himself the freest of birds and doesn't have an operator. The player can fight him for his Battle Chips.

Abilities[]

SwallowMan

LarkMan's Navi Mark

  • LarkMan is constantly in flight, so he can hover over holes and is unaffected by the harmful effects of some panels.
  • Swallow Cutter (スワローカッター Suwarō Kattā):
LarkMan fires a bird at the player. It then curves around the back of the player's area and returns whilst aligned with the player's row if they have moved. This is called Lark Cutter in the BradyGames Strategy Guide.
  • Swallow Drive (スワロードライブ Suwarō Doraibu):
Some panels will flash. LarkMan will then charge through those panels, hitting them. This is called Lark Drive in the BradyGames Strategy Guide.
  • Air Dive (エアダイブ Ea Daibu):
LarkMan dives down the row. If it connects it will destroy any chips and Program Advances the player has loaded.

  • In Battle Network 5's game data, LarkMan's DS version still exists but it's unused in the final game. It has 1600 HP.
