This article is about the NetNavi TopMan.EXE. For his anime counterpart, see TopMan.EXE (anime). For his Robot Master counterpart, see Top Man. |
TopMan.EXE (タップマン Tappuman) is a NetNavi from the Mega Man Battle Network series operated by Tensuke Takumi.
Appearance[]
This section requires expansion. |
Whereas his Robot Master counterpart appears to be somewhat juvenile, TopMan appears to have a senile appearance. He has a metallic yellow top-shaped head with a long chin, a long neck, a torso with a black end and red-yellow lining on the middle, black shoulders, yellow arms, hands with four black fingers on each of them, yellow legs, black cylinders with thin yellow linings on his knees, yellow feet with seemingly three toes of each of them, and also black-red parts on each top of his feet.
TopMan's Navi Mark represents a white shape of a spinning top, rotated approximately at a 45 degree angle.
History[]
Mega Man Battle Network 4[]
TopMan appears randomly as an opponent in the first tournament. He first appears when Tensuke's top malfunctions. After Lan helps him, TopMan is revealed to be a makeshift Navi, a Navi his operator created by himself using his own parts. This means that TopMan breaks down frequently and is shown to have some memory loss as well, as he forgets he is in the tournament, urging Tensuke to finish the prelims, upon which Tensuke yells at him reminding him the prelims are far over. Tensuke is too prideful to ask for help fixing TopMan and leaves him in that state. Tensuke's twin brother is convinced by Lan to help fix TopMan (although he pretends it is out of pity), and the two go to fight MegaMan in the tourney so Tensuke can prove to his grandson Kosuke that tops are still cool. Although he loses, the two succeed in impressing Tensuke's grandson.
His ghost data can be found in Town Area 1.
Anime[]
TopMan appears in Rockman.EXE Axess again operated by Tensuke in the episode Top and Grandchild. The two act just like each other, down to their stubborn attitudes and their love for tops. TopMan isn't very bright when it comes to NetBattles, which is the result from Tensuke not knowing much himself about the game and its rules.
