North Pole Area (北極エリア Hokkyoku Eria) is Blizzard Wolfang's stage in Mega Man X6. Despite the name of the stage, its location on the Stage Select Screen map more closely resembles North Korea or Manchuria than the Arctic circle.
Description[]
This stage has more environmental hazards than enemies, including icy floors, slippery slopes, spikes, falling ice cubes, and rolling Nightmare Ice. It begins with a climb up a slope that periodically rolls snowballs, then becomes a platforming challenge from pillar to pillar. It then descends into a vertical tunnel with bouncing snowballs, before placing the Maverick Hunters in large crevasses where ice cubes threaten to crush them. At the top of these pits is Blizzard Wolfang's arena.
The Nightmare Phenomena that may affect this stage are Nightmare Mirror and Nightmare Fire; the Nightmare Fire is actually required to open the cracked ice wall leading to several upgrades and the Another Route portal. The phenomenon that this stage activates in others is Nightmare Freeze.

| After the segment of pits and falling Nightmare Ice, use X's Ice Burst or Blade Armor to jump off the downward slope and find a ledge with the capsule behind more Nightmare Ice. |
