Eddie (エディ Edi?), also known as Eddy and Flip-Top, is another vital companion of Mega Man created by Dr. Light. Eddie first appeared in Mega Man 4 and was built (according to the US game manual) by Dr. Light as his personal walking suit case. In most of his appearances, he can be really helpful in the long run, and gives power-ups when needed. In Mega Man 8, he helps Mega Man in the sections he uses the Rush Jet by throwing bombs from his head. In Mega Man 9, Eddie can be bought from the item shop. When he is used, he will teleport in and drop many healing items for Mega Man to pick up.
