EX Skill (EXスキル EX Sukiru) is a system from the Mega Man Zero series. It serves as the replacement for Zero to learn new abilities from the X series. Unlike learned moves from the X series, Zero has the option to toggle these skills on or off as needed. Buster Shot skills can also only be used one at a time, due in part to all of them being modifications to the charged shot and, in the second and third games, requiring the appropriate Element Chip in order to activate.
Zero's Skills
The EX Skill system was introduced in Mega Man Zero 2. When Zero defeats a boss while having rank A or S (or with a weather favorable to the boss in Mega Man Zero 4), Zero will learn a new ability that can be used with his weapons.
