Dark Dizzy, known as Dark Necrobat (ダーク・ネクロバット Dāku Nekurobatto?) in Japan, is the only boss from Mega Man X5 who was Maverick before the Sigma Virus spread, and he guards the Fuel Tank for the Shuttle. He flies about, sometimes teleports, and sends Bat Bones at the player. He doesn't like light, as his name implies, so he is weak to F-Laser or C-Flasher. When he is flying around, sometime he may charge toward the player, grab them and bite. If he is low on health, he will release sonic wave up and down. After that, he will perform a move that will freeze the player and release sonic wave to the player or release Bat Bones in front of the player. If the player hit Dark Dizzy while he is casting the freezing effect. He will stun and drop to the floor.

- As some people surely noticed by reading the manual, all the names aren't respected in game, and the substitute names are mostly references to the band Guns N' Roses. Dizzy Reed is originally the stage name of the keyboardist.
- Dark Necrobat shows many similarities with Shade Man, a boss of the classic Mega Man series who is fought in Mega Man 7. They are both bat shaped robots, use soundwaves as an offensive weapon and got the same life stealing ability, although Dark Necrobat uses it very rarily. An important point to note is that Sigma would have built him three years before the events in Mega Man X5.
- He, weirdly enough, has a sprite that is upside down.
