The D Glaive (Dグレイブ D Gureibu), or Durga Glaive (ドゥルガーグレイブ Durugā Gureibu)[1], is a naginata-style weapon that allows Zero to perform longer-ranged attacks. Though possessing a much longer reach than the Z-Saber, it lacks its speed and versatility. Strictly intended as a long-ranged weapon, only the glaive's bladed end inflicts damage.

It can be obtained by defeating Splash Warfly in Mega Man X7, and in Mega Man X8 by collecting the Rare Metal in Dark Mantis' stage before purchasing the weapon as a Chip from Hunter Base's R&D lab for 1000 Metals.

Description[]

In Mega Man X7, the D Glaive utilizes a triple-slash combo, which has greater horizontal reach but weaker vertical reach. Zero can only use Splash Warfly's special move, Suiretsusen, while the D Glaive is equipped.

The D Glaive is more versatile in Mega Man X8, functioning similarly to the Z-Saber but even longer than in X7. After the third hit of the slash combo, Zero can spin the glaive over his head to strike enemies repeatedly with its blade and deflect enemy projectiles with its handle (which can be extended to the blade with Rekkyoudan). It also turns Youdantotsu into the unique skill Renyoudan, a series of stabs with the glaive.
