Curtiss (カーチス Kāchisu) is a Reploid created by Dr. Doppler in Rockman X Mega Mission. He is one of the Incept Chasers alongside his partner, Schmitt.
Characteristics[]
Curtiss is a burly and tall mechanical looking Maverick with mostly yellow and purple highlights on his body. Under his torso are two gigantic purple boomerangs he uses for attacking, although they are never used in the manga. He has the Doppler insignia on his chest, showing his loyalty.
History[]
Curtiss is in charge of collecting the Limited, which is collecting various data on X. When X battles the four Limit Reploids (Wire Sponge L, Boomer Kuwanger L, Flame Mammoth L and Bubble Crab L), Curtiss destroys them before X can retaliate or even attack. Afterwards he battles X with his new Limited buster, himself under Doppler's orders, using his giant boomerangs to attack. He is eventually defeated by X, and tells him what Doppler plans to do with him. Unfortunately, Schmitt appears and destroys Curtiss using his karate chops before he could fully reveal Doppler's plans.

Curtiss and Curtis are a common English given name and surname of Anglo-Norman origin derived from the Old French curteis (Modern French courtois, surname Courtois) which means "polite, courteous, or well-bred".
