Axle the Red (Spike Rosered) is a thief Reploid who succumbed to the Sigma Virus. He has the Orbiter Engine for the shuttle, and tends to use the Twin Dream and spike weapons very well. In a way, he's like Split Mushroom before him, who in turn is like Gemini Man in the original series. Fire is his weakness, and it shouldn't be too hard to hit him, even with the clone out. Ground Fire and Quake Blazer make short work of him.

• His name is similar to Eric the Red.
• Axle the Red was named after Axl Rose, the lead singer of the rock band Guns N' Roses. Axle the Red is even based on a rose.
  • Into the Jungle! may also be a reference to the Guns N' Roses song "Welcome to the Jungle".
    • Another reference to Guns N' Roses: there's guns (actually cannons in the shape of guns) and roses in the background of his stage.
