Octon, known as Takobaru (タコバル) in Japan, is a virus from the Mega Man Battle Network series. It is a stationary octopus-like virus that shoots explosive balloons out of its mouth. The balloon starts at a set damage. The more damage done to it before it explodes, the more the damage of the blast will increase. When it blows up, it will damage all panels of the side it's on.

Octor (タコバリン Takobarin) is green and yellow. They shoot out yellow bubble bombs. Their bubble bombs start at 100 damage.

Octovian (タコバレー Takobarē) is blue and orange. They shoot out red bubble bombs. Their bubble bombs start at 150 damage.

Battle Chips[]
Aqua Balloon (アクアバルーン), Elec Balloon (エレキバルーン) and Heat Balloon (ヒートバルーン) are the Battle Chips from Octon viruses. It creates a balloon that slowly flies forward and explodes in contact, causing elemental damage in all panels of the side once popped. The ball can be popped by hitting an enemy or obstacle or by certain attacks such as DashAtk or ZeusHammer. Its starting damage is 10 HP, and if either a player or enemy attack hits the balloon, the damage value of the attack is added to the balloon's damage. The balloon will disappear if it doesn't touch an enemy before going off-screen.

- Octons are among the Aqua viruses that appear in the MegaMan NT Warrior episode Bizarre! Mystery of the Ghost Ship!, having taken over the titular ghost ship's cyberworld.
- Octons appear as enemies in Rockman.EXE WS. They attack by shooting arcing energy projectiles. They appear in the second Internet intermission as well as the final stage and the secret stage.
